Progressive party of Armenia intends to file suit against Amnesty International

As PPA press service told ArmInfo, in the so-called report of this organization of 2010, irresponsible authors of the "report" wrote such a blatant lie that one may draw just two conclusions therefore: either they are illiterate and unfair and should apologize for their mistake, or they deliberately introduced an unfancied falsehood in the so-called "report" pursuing some aims, for what they must also apologize...

The Progressive Party of Armenia (PPA) is founded in 2000 (state registration 08.06.2001)
The basis of the ideology of PPA is centrism. The main activity of the party is referred to the preservation of stability, firm development and the realization of the reforms.
The free expression of wide layers of the society, the influence of the mass on making important state and political decisions as well as on the active participation of the civic society in the process of the realization of the reforms are considered to be obligatory.
The central office is in Yerevan by address 116 Nalbandyan, the regional departments work in all regions of the Republic of Armenia.
Today more than 7300 people are members of Progressive Party of Armenia.
There are 23 members in the membership of the governing body of the party.
From the very first day of foundation until now, Tigran Urikhanyan is the chairman of the party and the governing body.
